Wig and Pen Club
A private club for lawyers and journalists but foreigners become members by asking. Only building on the Strand to survive the Great Fire, built on Roman ruins in 1625. Suspended wooden staircase. Began by serving snacks to people inspecting the severed heads spiked to Temple Gate.
